Our state of the art Thoracic and Sleep clinics have been specially set up to provide the most comfortable environment possible for our patients while still supplying the doctor with the highest quality, comprehensive diagnostic reports and patient treatment.  

Sleep Clinics

For our overnight sleep studies, each patient is provided with a private room and ensuite which has the feel of a hotel room.  We understand that to obtain quality sleep studies it is important to ensure patients are comfortable in their environment.  With nursing, medical and scientific staff onsite we pride ourselves on providing the highest possible standard of care for all our patients.  Our Brisbane sleep clinic, located in the Wesley Hospital has recently been granted accreditation from Clinilabs – demonstrating that we have achieved international standards with our sleep studies and can now be involved in international clinical research.  The Wesley Sleep Disorders Centre is one of only two accredited sleep laboratories in Australia. Our accreditation is also pending with the Australian Sleep Association and hoping for approval to be finalised for 2011. 

CPAP Education and Support

Our team includes onsite CPAP educators who can provide our patients with the support they need. From initial set up we provide full support to our patients during their trial period, a wide range of masks and specially selected range of CPAP machines are available to optimise the success of our patients therapy. Being located on site with thoracic physicians therapy changes and patient queries can be quickly and effectively resolved. The Thoracic and Sleep Group had a high compliance rate with all our patients of around 80%, we believe that the excellent service and follow up support provided is the reason for our patients success.

Wesley Lung Function Laboratory

The Wesley Lung Function Laboratory has been designed to provide the highest quality results whilst keeping the patient as comfortable as possible.  Offering a wide variety of tests we are able to perform diagnostic respiratory tests as well as monitoring and managing disease progression.  We offer the latest testing equipment available and are constantly keeping up to date with the current research in respiratory testing and diagnosis.  The Wesley Lung Function Laboratory has specialist thoracic physician on site every day to make interpretive comments on each report.
